Code of Conduct
Code of Conduct
At Future of Fashion, we are dedicated to operating a responsible and sustainable business. Our commitment to ethical practices extends to ensuring our products are produced under conditions that respect human and labor rights, protect the environment, combat corruption, and uphold animal welfare. We expect our partners, including suppliers, subcontractors, agents, and other business associates, to share this commitment and adhere to the principles outlined in this Code of Conduct.
Human and Labor Rights
Child Labor and Young Workers
Suppliers must not employ children below the age of 15. Legal limitations for workers aged 15-18 must be followed, ensuring they are not exposed to hazardous work or conditions that could harm their development.
If child labor is detected, suppliers must contribute to programs that support the child's education until they are no longer considered a child.
Forced Labor
Employment must be voluntary. Forced, bonded, or slave labor is strictly prohibited. Employees must not face recruitment fees, withheld wages, or have their personal documents retained by the employer.
Employment Conditions
All employees must have written contracts in a language they understand, detailing employment terms and termination conditions. Short-term contracts must not undermine employee rights under international conventions.
Non-Discrimination and Harassment
Suppliers must ensure equal opportunities and fair treatment, prohibiting discrimination based on gender, race, religion, or other personal attributes. Harassment, bullying, and abuse are strictly forbidden.
Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining
Workers must have the right to form and join unions and bargain collectively. Suppliers should facilitate mechanisms for dispute resolution and employee representation.
Working Hours and Leave
Working hours must not exceed 48 hours per week, with overtime being voluntary and limited to 12 hours per week. Employees are entitled to at least one day off per week, paid annual leave, maternity leave, and sick leave.
Wages and Benefits
Wages must meet or exceed legal minimums and industry standards. Suppliers should aim to pay living wages. Overtime must be compensated at a premium rate, and deductions should be lawful and agreed upon.
Occupational Health and Safety
Suppliers must provide a safe and hygienic working environment, offering necessary health and safety training, appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensuring buildings are safe and compliant with regulations.
Environment and Climate
General Provisions
Suppliers must comply with all environmental laws and regulations, maintaining necessary permits and implementing measures to mitigate negative environmental impacts.
Chemicals
Compliance with the EU REACH Regulation and other relevant chemical management laws is mandatory. Proper storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals must follow legal and safety guidelines.
Water Resources
Suppliers must manage water use responsibly, complying with laws on water conservation, quality, and wastewater treatment. Efforts should be made to minimize water use and recycle wastewater.
Air Quality and Climate
Emissions must be controlled and reduced according to regulations. Suppliers should adopt energy efficiency measures, use renewable energy sources, and set targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Waste Management
Waste must be managed responsibly, with hazardous waste handled by authorized companies. Suppliers should minimize waste, promote recycling, and strive for zero landfill waste.
Anti-Corruption
Suppliers must adhere to high ethical standards, prohibiting all forms of corruption, extortion, bribery, and kickbacks. Adequate procedures to prevent corruption must be in place.
Animal Welfare
Suppliers must ensure animals are treated with dignity and respect. Practices should comply with relevant regulations and standards, and the use of materials from animals should be traceable through credible certifications.
Grievances and Collaboration
Grievance Mechanism
Suppliers must have a grievance mechanism that allows stakeholders to report concerns confidentially and without retaliation. The mechanism should be accessible and well-communicated.
Collaboration and Monitoring
Transparent dialogue is crucial. Suppliers must disclose all sub-contractors and accept evaluations through various assessments. Commitment to continuous improvement is expected, and non-compliance may result in termination of the business relationship.
We believe in fostering sustainable and ethical practices through cooperation and transparency. Together, we can create a more responsible fashion industry.
