Materials
We work closely with our manufacturing and fabric partners to identify high-quality textiles for our items.
These fabrics are composed of materials designed to provide unique characteristics, ensuring uncompromising attention to detail and the best performance.

Organic Cotton

The cotton we use is cutting waste collected from sewing factories or discarded clothes. After the raw material has been collected, it is sorted on the basis of quality and colour. The colour of the product is defined based on the collected waste, so there is no need to use dyes. After sorting, the cotton is mechanically broken into fibre.

To this day, organic cotton remains our main material. The farming process requires up to 91% less water, 62% less energy, and emits 46% less Co2 compared to conventional cotton farming.

Recycled Polyester

The recycled polyester we use derives from discarded PET plastic bottles. The post-consumer waste is then spun into yarn, resulting in a durable, functional fabric we especially like to use in outerwear and other items you don't have to wash regularly — limiting the shed of microplastics in our waters.

Recycled polyester is used in addition to short, recycled cotton fibre so that we can turn the yarn into durable yarn that complies with our standards.

TENCEL™ & Lyocell

The wood is turned into fabric using an environmentally responsible and closed loop production process. In practice this means that over 99% of the water and solvent used to turn pulp into fibre is recycled and reused.

More than 50% of the wood is from Austrian and other European forests. Additionally, the Austrian production sites are powered by renewable energy and aiming for carbon neutrality.

TENCEL™ & Lyocell has a luxe, silky feel and is great for shirts and dresses. Since it’s sensitive to high temperatures, we recommend hand wash for our TENCEL™ & Lyocell garments.

Recycled Wool

Recycled wool is a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional wool. It is made from pre-used or post-consumer waste wool fibers that are collected, processed and spun into new yarn.

This process not only reduces waste and conserves resources, but also creates a high-quality and durable material. Recycled wool has similar properties to virgin wool, including warmth, softness and insulating abilities.

In addition to its eco-friendly benefits, recycled wool also supports local communities and economies. By collecting and reusing waste wool, the production of new wool can be reduced, and the recycling process creates jobs in the processing and manufacturing industries.

Hemp

Hemp is a versatile plant that has been used for thousands of years for a variety of purposes, including the production of textiles. Hemp fabrics are made from the fibers of the hemp plant and are known for their durability, sustainability, and comfort.

One of the key benefits of hemp in fabrics is its sustainability. Hemp is a fast-growing plant that requires minimal water and pesticides to grow, making it a more environmentally friendly option compared to traditional cotton. Hemp fibers are also naturally resistant to mold and UV rays, which helps extend the life of the fabric and reduce the need for frequent replacements.

In terms of comfort, hemp fabrics are soft and breathable, making them ideal for clothing, bedding, and other textiles that come into direct contact with the skin. The fibers are also naturally absorbent, making hemp fabrics ideal for moisture management in activewear and sportswear.
